ABOUT COMPANY
We’re the #1 solar energy provider!
Surup Energy Pvt. Ltd. has emerged to provide clean and green energy from sunlight in the form of electricity to the society.
Solar energy is a renewable energy that does not release carbon dioxide and other harmful gases that affects the climate and results in other issues. A system used in any household on an average could save apprx 1.2 to 1.7 tons of carbon annually.
Temperature is accelerating globally and asking for remedial measures. If we do not join together and take action cooperatively then it is likely that we may soon face serious problems nearly by the middle or end of this century.
Solar Energy Works
Solar energy is the most abundantly available found on earth and is also renewable. Technology converts the sun energy into another form that can be utilised domestically or industrially.
Basically there are two types of technologies to convert the energy from sun- a) Solar Photovoltaic and b) Solar Thermal. Solar Photovoltaic (or PV) converts sunlight into direct current (DC) using semiconductors. Solar Thermal uses heat energy from sun for producing electricity.
Photon is a bundle of electromagnetic energy and is the basic unit that makes up all light. Photons loosens electrons from their atoms when its strikes a solar cell. If a cell’s positive and negative sides are attached to a conductor then an electrical circuit is formed. They generate electricity when the electrons flow through the circuit.
We provide energy to domestic and commercial sector on rent relieving from darkness providing solutions and hope to people. Today our lives become stand-still without electricity. We provide solutions that are easily available, economical and eco-friendly. Energy can be stored and used as per requirement. There are high efficiency PV module and comprehensive EPC solutions with a highly specialized team to meet end-to-end requirements for 10 – 25 years of the plant for domestic, commercial and industrial purpose.
Earth receives 86,000TW of energy from the Sun. The global consumption of the earth is 15TW which can be obtained from 4% of world’s desert with photovoltaic.
Advantages of Solar Energy
- Renewable Source of Energy: It is renewable and can be harnessed in all areas throughout the world for daily use. Since it is derived from sun it is easily accessible and inexhaustible and hence cannot run out like other sources. The energy is expected to be available for at least 5 billion years till the sun dies off.
- Reduces Electricity Bills: There will be a drop in the electricity bill as a portion of daily need will be satisfied by solar energy depending on the size of the system and consumption. Any surplus energy produced can be exported back to the grid (wherever applicable) for which bonus will be paid by local electric supply company.
- Diverse Applications: Solar energy can be used for various purposes. Electricity can be generated by sun (photovoltaics) or heat (solar thermal). Solar energy can be used to produce electricity in areas without access to the energy grid. This energy can be used for various purpose starting from distilling water in regions with limited clean water supplies to power satellites in space. Not long ago Sharp introduced transparent solar energy windows.
- Low Maintenance Costs: The cost of maintenance is as low as simply cleaning it couple of times a year. Usually warranty of 10 to 25 years is provided as there are no moving parts which may result in wear and tear. Basically the initial investment is the only the capital amount and hence maintenance or repair is minimal.
- Technology Development: Technology in the solar power industry is constantly improving with updation and advancement. Innovations in quantum physics and nanotechnology can potentially increase the effectiveness of solar panels and it may double or even triple the electrical input of the solar power system.
- PRODUCER + COMSUMER = PROSUMER: People can produce and consume electricity on their own.
